Timelessness is a project that originated in 2015 at Aria Art Gallery in Florence, coinciding with the Biennale of Antiques. The second edition was showcased in Florence in 2017, and the third exhibition took place in London. Subsequently, the fourth and fifth editions returned to Florence.
Timelessness transcends the constraints of the Space-Time dimension, enriching both ancient and contemporary masterpieces with new meanings. The exhibition combines artworks from the fourteenth to the seventeenth centuries with those of international contemporary artists. In this journey, these artworks serve as gateways, not just for the artists, but also for the observers who seek to move beyond the conventional descriptions imposed by the History of Art and academic movements in order to rediscover and reclaim their lost integrity.
The Frascione Fine Art Collection dates back from many generations, beginning in 1893 by virtue of the great passion for art of its founder, Enrico Frascione. The Collection has been handed down through four generations: it is now Federico Gandolfi Vannini, the great-grandson of the founder Enrico, who today owns and directs the Galleria Frascione Arte, established in 2009 in the prestigious Via Maggio, Florence. Federico, carrying on the great passion of his family, has further enriched the centenary heritage of the collection.
Frascione Arte specializes in Italian paintings from the 14th to 17th centuries, with a particular attention to the Tuscan School.
Frascione Arte has developed over the years an important international clientele of Museums and Private Collections in Europe, East Asia and the United States of America.
Aria Art Gallery opened in 2007 in Pietrasanta, a Tuscan town famous for its marble and bronze processing; it is one of the residences chosen by the greatest ancient and contemporary sculptors. The spirit of this place, deeply linked to the material, leaves an enduring mark in the choice of the artists represented. In 2009, the gallery relocated its primary location to Florence, positioning itself in a truly enchanting spot just a stone's throw away from Ponte Vecchio. Nestled within an ancient courtyard featuring a botanical garden that traces its origins back to 1534, the antique garden seamlessly leads to a contemporary exhibition space. This move allowed the gallery to firmly establish itself in the heart of the "Renaissance" city, bridging the gap between historical and modern eras, and preserving the memories of both.
